Currently, there are 20 set bonuses that are visible in Breath of the Wild and two Set Bonuses hidden in Tears of the Kingdom. These special effects replace the Added Effect name in your inventory, and can be combined with other original Added Effects.
However, if you roll your equipment to a lower level than the power that gave them their Added Effects, those are no longer functional. Additionally, if item upgrades roll your power more than three levels below the power you have currently that is below the current power, those added Effects will cease to be functional.
The same is true of set bonuses, but the soul-matching of the ethereal versions of these items with any normal versions of the same set bonus, you will be able to get the + version of the Set Bonus (which is indicated by an icon in the Added Effects window).
